Meet the Board Staff and Advisors
Scott Douglass
Board President
Scott Douglass is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with 22 years of service and he has lived in Mountain Home for 13 years.
A former Maintenance Superintendent, Scott now works remotely as an Aircraft Reliability Specialist for the F-16 program. His military experience, technical expertise, and understanding of the transition to civilian life allow him to provide valuable guidance to veterans. Scott is committed to strengthening military-community relations and supporting MAC’s mission.
Chuck Garvey
Board Vice President
Chuck Garvey has been a dedicated member of the Military Affairs Committee since 2010. A U.S. Air Force veteran and former Gunfighter, he is deeply committed to strengthening the relationship between Mountain Home AFB and the local community.
Chuck lives in Mountain Home with his wife, Becky, and their two children. As a local business owner, he understands the importance of community involvement. His dedication to MAC reflects his passion for supporting both the military and civilian communities, ensuring their strong connection continues.
Julie Davis
Treasurer
Julie Davis grew up in Northern California and has spent her career in nonprofit work, economic development, and government policy. After marrying an active-duty Airman, she relocated to Hill AFB, where she worked in military affairs and quality-of-life initiatives.
Since moving to Mountain Home in 2018, Julie has been dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities for military spouses and strengthening the connection between the base and the city. Through her work with MAC, she aims to improve quality of life and foster partnerships that benefit both service members and the community.
Connie Clark
Board Member
Connie Clark has been a dedicated Mountain Home resident since 2016, where she and her husband have raised three grown children. As the owner of a successful real estate office, she has built strong ties within the community. She joined the Military Affairs Committee in 2019.
Growing up in a military family, Connie lived on multiple Air Force bases, including overseas. This background gave her a deep appreciation for Mountain Home AFB and the vital connection between the base and the local community. In 2023, she attended the East Coast Swing, where she gained insight into how relationships with Air Force and Capitol Hill leaders directly impact Mountain Home.
Jamie Lawford
Board Member
Jaime Lawford has been an active member of the Military Affairs Committee since 2014. She values MAC’s mission of strengthening the connection between Mountain Home AFB and the city, ensuring the partnership thrives.
Her passion for MAC began when she saw firsthand the committee’s role in supporting the base and preserving traditions. Over the years, she has enjoyed contributing to its initiatives, fostering relationships, and giving back to the military community. Jaime remains dedicated to helping MAC continue its impact and mission.
Corey Conner
Board Member
Corey Conner is a former U.S. Air Force F-15 Crew Chief who served at Mountain Home AFB from 2017 to 2023. After transitioning from the military, he settled in Mountain Home with his wife and son, building a life in the community he loves. With a background in marketing and real estate, Corey specializes in assisting military families with housing needs. As a MAC board member, he is dedicated to fundraising efforts and increasing awareness of MAC’s mission. His goal is to strengthen community support for service members through strategic engagement and outreach.
William Marshall
Board Member
Will Marshall retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2023 as a Brigadier General after 25 years of service. Having been stationed at Mountain Home twice, he was drawn back after retirement by the area’s outdoor opportunities and strong military-community ties.
Joining MAC allows him to give back to a community that has long supported the USAF mission and its Airmen. Will is dedicated to strengthening these relationships and helping improve the lives of Air Force families while fostering collaboration between the base and the city.
Kimberly Mulkey
Board Member
Kimberly is a dedicated community leader with a passion for service and people. A U.S. Air Force veteran and wife to a retired Air Force maintainer, she has remained deeply involved in supporting military families and the Mountain Home community.
She is a founding member of the Key Spouse Program at Mountain Home Air Force Base and has played a key role in launching Summit Classical School. Kimberly serves on multiple local boards, including the Chamber of Commerce and several health and community organizations.
With a professional background in law enforcement and as a leader in the title and escrow industry, Kimberly brings both experience and heart to her work. With over three decades of community service, she continues to be a strong advocate and active leader dedicated to making a lasting impact.
Crystal Olbera
Board Member
Crystal Olbera is an experienced leader with a strong background in both military service and the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. A U.S. Air Force veteran who supported Operation Enduring Freedom, she brings discipline, leadership, and a collaborative mindset to her work.
She currently serves as Director of Business Development at Hummel Architects, where she leads strategic growth efforts, builds client partnerships, and supports long-term planning initiatives. Crystal holds an MBA and has built a successful career while raising a family.
Passionate about mentorship and community engagement, she actively supports organizations including the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and industry groups across the region. Crystal’s blend of military experience, business leadership, and community involvement makes her a valuable advocate for those she serves.
Desiree Axtell
Development Director
Desiree Axtell is a dedicated community leader with over a decade of service supporting the partnership between Mountain Home and Mountain Home Air Force Base. She has served on the Mountain Home Military Affairs Committee since 2013, including as President from 2020 to 2022.
She currently serves as MAC’s Development Director, leading fundraising and outreach efforts that support programs benefiting service members and their families. Professionally, Desiree is a Senior Loan Advisor with American Pacific Mortgage, where she helps individuals and families achieve homeownership.
Passionate about service and collaboration, Desiree is committed to strengthening connections between the military and the community and ensuring families feel supported both on and off base.
Lindsay Dunlap
Military Liaison
Lindsay Dunlap is a retired U.S. Air Force Operations Manager and military spouse with over 20 years of experience supporting mission readiness and strengthening connections within the military community. Throughout her career, she has led teams, coordinated programs, and fostered communication between leadership and families.
She currently serves as a Key Support Mentor with the 366th Munitions Squadron and is a volunteer leader with Protestant Women of the Chapel, where she focuses on outreach, family support, and community engagement.
Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Science and brings a strong background in program development, advocacy, and event coordination. She is passionate about building relationships and enhancing the connection between Mountain Home Air Force Base and the local community.
Alan Bermensolo
Advisor
Alan Bermensolo is a respected community leader and longtime advocate for Mountain Home and Mountain Home Air Force Base. A lifelong member of the Mountain Home Military Affairs Committee, he has served in leadership roles including Chairman and now continues to support the organization as a trusted advisor.
A retired business owner and former Fire Chief, Alan built a successful career as President and CEO of B Transfer, Inc., while dedicating decades of service to public safety and community development. His leadership has been recognized through numerous honors, including Idaho Business Leader of the Year and induction into the 366th Fighter Wing Honorary Gunfighter Hall of Fame.
Alan has remained deeply involved in civic and military partnerships, serving on boards and committees that support economic development, public safety, and military advocacy. His lifelong commitment to service and strong connection to the community have made a lasting impact on Mountain Home and its relationship with the Air Force Base.
Robby Robinson
Advisor
Robby Robinson served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Hydraulic Systems Technician, retiring in 2002 after being stationed at Mountain Home AFB since 1996. Following his military career, he transitioned into community banking, working his way up to Vice President and Retail Manager at First Interstate Bank.
Dedicated to community service, Robby serves as a Military Affairs Committee Advisor and Vice President of Silver Wings of Idaho. He plays an active role in Air Force Appreciation Day and is a member of several service organizations, including the American Legion, Elks, Lions, and Forty and Eight. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Darbi, working on home projects, and bowling. He values Mountain Home’s close-knit community and strong bond with the Air Force Base.
Dave Bergh
Advisor
Dave Bergh is a dedicated Civic Leader who supports the U.S. Air Force out of a deep sense of patriotism and respect for those who serve. His involvement with the Military Affairs Committee is his way of giving back to the men and women who defend our nation and protect our freedoms.
Passionate about advocating for Mountain Home AFB, Dave is continually inspired by the dedication and capabilities of the 366th Fighter Wing Gunfighters. He considers it both an honor and a privilege to support and engage with these exceptional service members, ensuring they receive the recognition and community backing they deserve.
Matthew Bundy
Advisor
Matt Bundy is a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran who retired as a lieutenant colonel after serving as a B-1B and B-52 aviator. His military career began on Cold War nuclear alert and concluded with a post-9/11 combat deployment to Afghanistan. Following his military service, Matt spent 20 years teaching American Government at Mountain Home High School and now continues to teach part-time with the Idaho Digital Learning Alliance and BYU–Idaho. He also served with the U.S. Department of State’s Teachers for Global Classrooms program as part of the 2012 Ukraine cohort and was honored as the 2019–2020 VFW National High School Civics Teacher of the Year. In addition to his work in education and service in the classroom, Matt has been active in public service. He served on the Mountain Home City Council from 2016 to 2021 and represented District 23 in the Idaho State House of Representatives from 2020 to 2024. He and his wife, Colette, have three children and six grandchildren.
