The Military Affairs Committee (MAC) is a dedicated organization committed to strengthening the bond between the military and the local community. We work to support service members, veterans, and their families by addressing key issues such as education, housing, healthcare, childcare, and spouse employment.
WHO WE ARE
The MAC was founded in the 80s and is comprised of businesses and individuals dedicated to promoting the interests of Mountain Home Air Force Base through both social and political action committee endeavors.
MISSION
To support the growth, development, and effectiveness of the Mountain Home Air Force Base and broader military activities across our state, while also building bridges between the military and local communities. Through collaboration, we aim to ensure mutual success and prosperity.
VISION
Establish an ecosystem that promotes the thriving coexistence of Mountain Home Air Force Base and the surrounding border communities. Cultivate open communication, facilitate resource sharing, and encourage collaboration for mutual benefit.

Education: Our mission is to advocate for quality education and resources that support military children, ensuring they have access to stable, well-equipped schools that understand and accommodate the unique challenges of military life.
Housing: Our mission is to enhance housing opportunities for military families by promoting affordable, high-quality, and accessible housing solutions, ensuring service members have a place to call home during and after their service.
Healthcare: Our mission is to improve healthcare access for military personnel, veterans, and their families by connecting them with quality medical services, mental health resources, and community support systems.
Childcare: Our mission is to support military families by increasing access to reliable, affordable, and high-quality childcare solutions, recognizing that strong family support is essential to mission readiness.
Employment: Our mission is to empower military spouses by advocating for career opportunities, job stability, and professional development programs, ensuring they can build meaningful careers despite the challenges of military life.
